Adrian Alva Anderson

Adrian Alva "Andy" Anderson, age 96 of Salem, passed away on January 1, 2026 at Springs Valley Meadows.

Mr. Anderson was born October 5, 1929 in New Albany, Indiana, the son of Alva and Emma Boyd Anderson. He was married to his sweetheart of 72 years. Mr. Anderson was a class of 1947 graduate of New Albany High School. He worked at Dupont in Louisville and was a United States Marine who served in the Korean War. Mr. Anderson was a lifetime blood donor and a member of the Driftwood Christian Church.

Mr. Anderson is survived by his sons, Tim Anderson (Rose) of Salem, Mark Anderson (Robin) of Brownstown and Joel Anderson (Amanda) of Charlestown. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Braeden, Adelynn, Kaelynn and Piper and also fondly remembered by Angela, Donnie and Kaleb Tucker and survived by his sister in law, Denise Bills Pendygraft (Sid) of Salem.

Mr. Anderson is preceded in death by his wife, Edith "Edie" Anderson, who passed away September 17, 2025, his parents, brothers, George and Paul Anderson and his sisters, Mary Hartman and Emma Mae Helton.

Services will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Weathers Funeral Home at 11A.M. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 6 from 3-7P.M and Wednesday morning from 9A.M until the time of service. Burial will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery immediately following the services.
