Albert Lee Sowder

Mr. Albert Lee Sowder age 79 of Salem passed away Tuesday, March 6 at his home.

Mr. Sowder was born May 19, 1938 in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky the son of Casper and Martha Robbins Sowder.  He was a retired truck driver and a member of the Baptist Faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife:  Nancy Gray Sowder on December 6, 2016, nine brothers:  Walter, Howard, James Russell, Lester, Chester, Keith, Vearl, Charles and Denver Sowder, a sister:  Linda Jones and his parents.

He is survived by a son:  Terry Lee Sowder (Denise) of Salem, a daughter:  Donna Sue Law (Steve) of Milltown, a sister:  Anna Mae Nicholson (Larry) of Salem, three grandchildren:  Kyle Sorrels (Tiffany Brewer), Kathryn McCreary (Michael) and Nicholas Sowder, and four great-grandchildren:  Isabelle Sorrels, Sophia McCreary, Jackson McCreary and Jacob McCreary.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Winslow Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday from 4-8PM and Saturday from 9AM-time of service.
