Mrs. Anna Cannello age 96 of Salem passed away Saturday, August 12 at Meadow View Health Care and Rehab.
Mrs. Cannello was born November 6, 1920 in Capurso, Italy the daughter of Pietro and Rosa Portincasa Vitone. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Anna was preceded in death by her husband: Vito Cannello, daughter: Filomena “Phyllis” Virgilio, two brothers, a sister, and her parents.
She is survived by her son: Joseph Cannello (Mary) of Salem, a sister: Teresa D’Alessandro of Capurso, Italy, 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral mass will be held Friday at 10:00AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Chicago. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8PM at Weathers Funeral Home.
