Barbara Jewel (Cole) Johnson

Barbara Jewel Johnson age 82 of Campbellsburg died Saturday, July 8 at Baptist Health Floyd.

Mrs. Johnson was born November 18, 1934 in Washington County the daughter of Thomas Brice Stanfield Cole and Edna Ola Price Cole. She was a homemaker and helped on the family farm.

She is survived by her husband: Esker Eugene Johnson, they were married September 11, 1952. She is also survived by one son: Michael Eugene Johnson (Dawn) of Versailles, Kentucky, two daughters: Diana Ronine Johnson of Campbellsburg and Dawna “Jeanie” Regine Johnson (David Rowland) of Hardinsburg, one brother: Ronald David Cole of Salem, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her sister Betty Jean Cole Fisher and her parents.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 12 at 1 PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Saltillo Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11AM to time of service.
