Barbara S Noel

Barbara S. Noel, age 78, of Salem, passed away Saturday, November 4 at Baptist Health Floyd.

Barbara was born April 22, 1945, in Orleans, Indiana, the daughter of William Clay Hackney and Imelda Cooney Hackney.  She was a retired bus driver for Salem Schools and drove many students to sports and band events over her career there.   She was a member of Walnut Grove Christian Church.

Barbara is survived by her children:  Jeffrey Medlock (Rhonda) of Salem, Victoria Medlock of Salem and Kristin Lashbrooks of Salem, a sister:  Wilma Jarvis of Salem, six grandchildren:  Mallory Quinlin, Justin Beavers (Aolani), Terra Maudlin (Nathan), Haley Chastain (Evan), Jake Lashbrooks (Simone), and Levi Medlock (Courtney), 10 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers:  Clifton Hackney, James Hackney, Ronald Hackney, and Keith Hackney.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11AM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Cremation will follow.  Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8PM and Friday from 9AM-time of service.
