Obituary

In Loving Memory of Beatrice "Bea" Zimmerman

(January 8, 1948 - August 29, 2026)

Beatrice "Bea" Zimmerman, 78, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2026, at PAM Rehabilitation, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 8, 1948, in Hyden, Kentucky, to the late Jim and Lula Jones, Bea was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose unwavering dedication to her family defined her life.

A graduate of Clay County High School, Bea was known throughout her life for her strong work ethic and selfless nature, always ensuring that her family was taken care of first. She was a long-time, valued employee at the Corydon Walmart, where she worked until her retirement in 2010.

Bea's journey took a beautiful turn when she met Dennis Zimmerman while both were working at C. Lee Cook. They were married on September 19, 1981, and spent nearly 45 years together as true best friends and the absolute loves of each other's lives. They were members of the Aplha and Omega Full Gospel Church, in New Salisbury, Indiana.

Above all else, Bea cherished time spent with her family and loved taking trips together. She took immense pride in her children and grandchildren, building a bond with her granddaughter Callie that was deeply akin to that of a mother and daughter. In her later years, her two great-grandchildren were her absolute world and brought the greatest joy to her life.

Bea is survived by her beloved husband and best friend, Dennis Zimmerman; her twin sons, Roy Lynn Morgan (Heidi) and James Lee Morgan; her sister, Hallie Hobbs; her granddaughters, Callie Lynn Morrow (Seth) and Madison Lane Morgan; her two precious great-grandchildren, Laura Ray Morrow and Elijah Wayne Morrow; her lifelong friend, Bernice Bowling; and her cherished dog, Little Bear.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Lula Jones; a host of beloved brothers and sisters; and her best friend, Patricia Wills.

Services for Bea will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at 3:00P.M at Weathers Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 12:00P.M until the time of service with burial taking place immediately following the service at Crown Hill Cemetery.
