Mr. Bernard E . Corn age 83 of New Albany, formerly of Salem , passed away Monday ,December 31 at Floyd Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Corn was born April 3, 1929 in Washington County, Indiana the son of Ovel and Myrtle Elliot Corn . He was a retired employee of Bata Shoe Company and a World War II Navy veteran . He was a member of Salem ( High Street ) Church of Christ and Salem Masonic Lodge #21 .
He was preceded in death by his wife : Christina M . Corn , his parents and a sister : Bonnie Loheide . He is survived by a son : Steven Corn of New Albany , a daughter : Marcia Gettelfinger of Palmyra , 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren .
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 PM at Weathers Funeral Home . Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery with military honors . Visitation will be Thursday from 1-8PM and Friday from 9 AM -time of service . Masonic services will be held Thursday at 7:15 PM at the funeral home .
