Betty Ann (Hicks) Altic

Mrs. Betty A. Hicks Altic, age 78, of Campbellsburg, passed away Saturday, February 19 at Clark Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Altic was born June 19, 1943, in Shepherdsville, Kentucky the daughter of Frank and Agnus Light Hicks.  She was a retired employee of the US Census Bureau.

Betty was married to Arland “A.J.” Altic for 29 years.  She loved all three of her stepchildren as her own.  She loved all of her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren and especially her great grandchild, Zoe. She always had a smile and a kind word for anyone she met and was always upbeat about life. A.J. and Betty traveled all over and enjoyed all the sights and people they met, but she also enjoyed simple things at home too.

Betty is survived by her husband:  Arland “A.J.” Altic of Campbellsburg, two sons:  Joshua Altic and Bryan Altic of Pekin, a daughter:  Michelle Spaulding (Brandon) of Pekin, a brother:  Terry Hicks (Donna) of Louisville, three sisters:  Juanita Sheppard (Bud) of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, Linda Tinnell (Larry) of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, and Judy Baxter (Jim) of Lexington, Kentucky, 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation was chosen with a graveside service held at a later date.
