Betty Eversole, age 79 of Salem, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at Norton Kings Daughters in Madison, Indiana.

Mrs. Eversole was born March 13, 1947 in Middletown, Ohio the daughter of James Orville Campbell and Ilean Murphy Campbell.

Mrs. Eversole is survived by her sons: Jerry Eversole of Madison, Roger Howerton (Nora) of Salem, James "Jimbo" Howerton of Salem, her daughters: Julie Righthouse (Clinton) of Scottsburg and Kelly Hein (Terry) of New Albany, her brothers, Paul Campbell of Scottsburg and Gary Campbell (Mary) of Westport, Indiana, sisters, Mary Louise Melton of Scottsburg, Rebecca Aynes of Lexington, Kentucky, Glenda Hart (Dennis) of Madisonville, Kentucky and Marsha Gray of Scottsburg. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Eversole is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Eversole Jr., her parents, her daughter Tanya Yvette, her brother, James Roger Campbell and her sisters, Ella Carrier and Aulsa Misamore.

Services will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 2P.M at Weathers Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00A.M until the time of service. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Crown Hill Cemetery in Salem, Indiana.
