Mrs. Betty Jean Spurgeon age 88 of Campbellsburg passed away Tuesday, May 2 at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany.
Mrs. Spurgeon was born August 30, 1928 in Washington County, Indiana the daughter of Carter and Mary Duvall Wills. She was a homemaker and a member of Kansas Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Earl E. Spurgeon, a son: Earl Lee Spurgeon, a brother: Donald Wills, a sister: Mary Elizabeth Wills and her parents.
She is survived by a son: Charles Eugene Spurgeon (Heidi) of Dillon, Colorado, two daughters: Mary Sue Sparrow of Fairdale, Kentucky and Vickey Lynn Spurgeon of Campbellsburg, a brother: James Wills (Rosemary) of Pekin, 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Big Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8PM and Saturday from 9AM-time of service.
