Betty Ann Temple

Mrs. Betty Ann Temple, age 84, of Salem, passed away Thursday, July 31 at her home.

Mrs. Temple was born June 3, 1941, in Borden, the daughter of Homer Standiford and Elsie Bundren Standiford. She was a retired employee of Silgan Plastics in Seymour. Betty was a member of West Side Baptist Church. She enjoyed going on missionary trips and a yearly trip to Graceland for Elvis week with her family. She loved all of her fur babies and was an avid book reader.

Betty is survived by her husband: Harold Temple. They were married December 28, 1959.She is also survived by two sons: Billy Temple (Leanna) of Brownstown, and Brian Temple (Tammy) of Crothersville, a daughter: Cindy Temple Satterfield of Tarpon Springs, Florida, four brothers: Herman Standiford of Sumter, South Carolina, Allen Standiford of New Albany, Kenneth "Bruce" Standiford of Pekin, and Mark Standiford of Pekin, and two sisters: Barbara Snelling (Archie) of Salem, and Martha Caudill (Tony) of Seymour, 14 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildlren.

She was preceded in death by two sons: Roger Blair Temple (who was a twin to Cindy) and Anthony Wayne Temple, a daughter: Carolyn Sue Temple, three brothers: Charles Standiford, Paul Standiford, and Jerry Standiford, a sister: Ailene Temple (who was a twin to Allen) and her parents.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 11AM-time of service.
