Mrs. Betty J. Thacker age 77 of Salem passed away Monday, August 7 at her home.
Mrs. Thacker was born July 24, 1940 in Salem, Indiana the daughter of Floyd and Ronea Setser Collier. She was a retired employee of Smith Cabinet Factory.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Charles Lee Thacker, a daughter: Norma Diane Bowling, a brother: Raymond Collier, a sister: Janice Waldrip, two grandsons: Toby Ray Cole and Maynard Earl Hall, a great-granddaughter: Shiloh Hart and her parents.
She is survived by two sons: Maynard Eugene Bowling of Salem and Michael Allen Bowling (Lynda) of Mitchell, four daughters: Debbie Cole (Ray) of Salem, Vicky VanArsdale (Randy) of Brownsburg, Indiana, Tammy Maudlin (Joe) of Campbellsburg and Karen Mangum of Trafalgar, Indiana, a brother: Larry Collier of Salem, a sister: Barbara Bledsoe of Bloomington, 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11:00AM at Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9-11AM at Weathers Funeral Home.
