Billy W Hardin

Mr. Billy W. Hardin, age 77, of Salem, passed away Thursday, May 16 at his home.

Mr. Hardin was born June 5, 1941 in Washington County, Kentucky the son of Clayton Albertson Hardin and Sarah Woford Hardin.  He was retired from General Electric in 1998, after 32 years of service. He was a Deacon, Song Leader, and Sunday School Teacher for Mt. Zion Baptist Church.  He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Billy is survived by his wife:  Nancy Nuckles Hardin.  They were married June 21, 1965.  He is also survived by a son:  Billy Joe Hardin of Salem, and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by three brothers:  Perry “PA” Hardin, Bobby Hardin, and Arthur “Art” Hardin, three sisters:  Anna Lyle Grant, Virginia Hardin and Linda Shell, and his parents.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1PM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Hicksite Cemetery with military honors.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 11AM-time of service at the funeral home.
