Mrs. Sherman was born December 3, 1946 in Salem the daughter of Victor Oren and Mabel Christina Persinger Collins. She was a retired employee of Childcraft. She was a member of Enon Baptist Church, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Homer Sherman, a daughter: Vicki L. Hunt and her parents.
She is survived by a son; Marty Collins of Salem, two step-sons: Scott Sherman of Salem and Tony Sherman of Louisville, a brother: Michael "Brick" Collins of Pekin, two sisters: Marsha Roberts and Diana Stewart both of Salem and 5 grandchildren.
