Mr. Charles R. Wilson age 66 of Salem passed away Wednesday, October 9 at St. Vincent Hospital of Salem.
Mr. Wilson was born December 19, 1948 in Brownstown, Indiana the son of Charles William and Violet Jenkins Wilson. He was a retired employee of City of Salem Sanitation Department. He was a US Marine and a Vietnam War veteran, serving from 1966-1972.
He is survived by his wife: Virginia Speedy Newsome Wilson. They were married July 13, 1984. He is also survived by his wife daughter: Regina K. Wilson of Salem, three sons: Rodney, Randy and Rusty Newsome all of Salem, 2 granddaughters, 5 grandsons and a sister: Frances Sterling of Canton, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Fred, George and Floyd Wilson and two sisters: Marge Fordice and Ernestine Lambert.
