Mr. Claude E Farris age 80 of Campbellsburg passed away Saturday, August 27 at Rex Robley VAMC in Louisville.
Mr. Farris was born July 12, 1931 in Indiana the son of William and Rittie Hobson Farris. He was retired from the U.S. Gypsum Plant in Shoals. He was a Korean War Army veteran and a member of American Legion and Saltillo Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Dorothy Jean Harvey Farris in 2008 and his parents. He is survived by a son: Mike Farris of Campbellsburg, four daughters: Debbie (Greg) Ball, Gina (Don) Deremiah, Terri (Kent) Cottongim, and Tina (John) Williams all of Salem, a brother: Rex Farris of French Lick, 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home with Bob Holler officiating. Burial will follow in Saltillo Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be Friday from 5-9PM and Saturday from 8AM-time of service.
