David Brent Ingram

David Brent Ingram passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on June 4, 2017. He was a Database Administrator at UPS and well respected by his coworkers for his depth of knowledge and experience. Prior to his illness, David was an avid cyclist with the Louisville Bike Club and twice distinguished himself as a Mad Dog, riding 100 mile rides monthly for 10 out of 12 months of the year. He served as a board member on the YMCA and participated in building homes for Habitat for Humanity. Dave was committed to lifelong learning and worked diligently to organize and bring Sequel Saturdays to Louisville, sponsored by Microsoft, to keep himself and his colleagues up to date on computer information systems.

Dave was born in Salem, Indiana on February 12, 1956 to Martha (Chastain) and Frederic Ingram. He was a farmer for 20+ years before completing his degree in Computer Information Technology at IUS. During that time, he was a member of Cornerstone Quartet and performed gospel music throughout Southern Indiana. He leaves behind his parents, his wife: Wendy Daly, M.D., four daughters: Carrie Ingram (Demetrius Clark) of Gary, Indiana, Stacia (Roger) Turnquist of Columbus, Indiana, Jennifer (Justin) Davidson and Ashley (Adam) Brown both of Salem, Indiana, two stepsons: Greg (Allison) Daly and Jordan (Amanda) Daly both of Louisville, Kentucky. He also leaves behind grandchildren: Austin Ingram, Logan Turnquist, Rylee, Kinzee, and Jaxin Davidson, William Brown, Lewis, Elliot, and Oliver Daly, and three sisters: Norma Sue (Steve) Rodia of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Donna Collins of Salem and Sharon (Randy) Roberts of Campbellsburg, Indiana. He also left behind many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son: Jonathan Ingram.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8PM and Friday from 9AM-time of service at the funeral home.
