He was a member of Pekin Church of Christ and attended South Liberty Church of Christ in Palmyra.
David was an avid hunter of all things wild, including but not limited to deer, elk, turkeys, coyotes, quail, squirrels, rabbits, and mushrooms and was almost always seen with his dog in the back of his truck. He was a fisherman, a Harley motorcycle rider, and a University of Louisville basketball enthusiast during the Denny Crum era. David enjoyed tractor pulls, antique cars, and watching his four grandchildren play in an array of sports over the years.
