Mrs. Debbie Lynn Smedley age 59 of Salem passed away Thursday, April 7 at University of Louisville Hospital.
Mrs. Smedley was born July 14, 1956 in Louisville, Kentucky the daughter of John William Perkins and Wilma Gertrude Gilley Temple. She was a retired employee of Kimball’s and a former employee of LeWeb Industries. She was a member of the Paoli Wednesday Night Bowling League.
Debbie married John Smedley on April 1, 1977. She is survived by her husband: John Smedley of Salem, a son: John Gregory Smedley-Warren of Nashville, Tennessee, two daughters: Rebecca Michelle Archibald of Salem and Stephanie Phipps Blue of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, a sister: Lori Highfill of Salem, and three grandchildren: Gracelynn Archibald, Xavier Archibald, and Brady Blue. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother: Jerry Perkins of Salem, and a sister: Rita Cobb of New Albany.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8PM and Tuesday from 9AM-time of service.
