Deborah Jane Ponder

Mrs. Deborah Jane Ponder, age 69, of Salem, passed away Tuesday, November 25 at her home after a three year battle with cancer. Deborah was born April 22, 1956 in Elyria, Ohio the daughter of Frederick Daniel and Janie McCormac Daniel. She was a retired employee of Washington County Department of Children's Services. Deborah married George Ponder on December 2, 1978. She is survived by her husband: George of Salem, her children: Erin Humphrey (Adam) of Salem and Daniel Ponder (Kala) of Salem, a sister-in-law: Connie Daniel of Buckeye Lake, Ohio, three grandchildren: Corbin, Chloe and Copeland., a niece: Jayma Bammerlin of Alexandria, Ohio, and two great-nephews: Rex and Bryce Bammerlin. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Frederick "Toby" Daniel, and Bob Daniel, her parents, and a nephew: Jeff Daniel. A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 4 at 5PM at Weathers Funeral Home with Kyle Stewart officiating. Visitation will be from 2-5PM.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can me made to Shop with A Cop.
