Dorothy Hurst, 91 of Pekin, Indiana passed away peacefully on August 4, 2026.

Dorothy was born on March 3, 1935 to the Applegate's and was lovingly raised by Dennis and Pearl Hurst. Dorothy was a caring and God fearing woman whose greatest joy was her family. She devoted her life to caring for others, both at home and throughout her career. Her kindness, compassion and unwavering faith touched everyone who knew her. 

Dorothy was a devoted mother to her children, Tony Hurst (Jennifer), Kelly Hurst and Keith Jackson (Tammy). She was also a loving adopted mother to Linda Hurst. She leaves behind her grandchildren, Dana Ramey, Brandon Hurst, Lacey Morris, Breah Moock, Breanna Hurst, Dillon Hurst, Colton Hurst, Tamara Hurst, Ashtyn Hurst and Stratton Hurst. She also leaves to cherish her memory 16 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by a grandson, Tyler Hurst and great granddaughter, Lyndi Patterson.

A proud dog mom to Princess Pearl, Dorothy often spoke of her and cherished that companionship. Dorothy's legacy of faith and unconditional love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. 

Services for Dorothy will be at Weathers Funeral Home on Monday, August 10 at 2:00P.M. Visitation will be held Monday from 10:00A.M until the time of service. Burial will take place immediately following the services at Daisy Hill Cemetery.
