Mrs. Eleanor Jane Thixton age 85 of Sellersburg passed away Wednesday, April 16 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany.
Mrs. Thixton was born June 21, 1928 in Washington County, Indiana the daughter of Osborne and Isalene Beswick Purlee. She was a former employee of Ferraloy and retired after 30 years as book keeper for Kentuckiana Yacht. She was a member of Memorial Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years: Jack Eugene Thixton of Sellersburg. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 and Tuesday from 9AM-time of service.
