Ellen Sue Denton age 72 of Campbellsburg, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at home, surrounded by her loved ones.

Mrs. Denton was born March 1, 1954 in Bedford, Indiana, the daughter of Roscoe E. Hartley and Mary Jane Conley Hartley. She was a member of the Carters Creek Christian Church. Mrs. Denton retired from West Washington, where she was a bus driver for 30 years. After retirement she loved spending time with her family and her dogs.

Mrs. Denton is survived by her husband, Leonard Eugene Denton. She is also survived by her son, Matthew E. Denton (Jodi Wheeler) and her sister, Michelle A. Bishop (Barry) and many nieces.

Mrs. Denton is preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be held on Friday, August 14 at 12:00P.M at Weathers Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 3:00-7:00P.M and Friday at 10:00A.M until the time of service. Burial will take place at Saltillo Cemetery immediately following the services.
