Evelyn "Rose" Downes

Evelyn “Rose” Downes age 68 of Salem, formerly of Louisville, passed away Sunday, November 11 at Salem Crossing.

Rose was born March 16, 1950 in Louisville, Kentucky the daughter of Charles and Ruth Barnett Downes.  She was a retired waitress for King Fish, Max and Erma’s and Kaelin’s Restaurant in Louisville.  She was a member of Edenside Christian Church also in Louisville.

She is survived by a daughter:  Jessie Ann of Liberty, Missouri, two brothers:  Jimmy Downes of Tayorsville, Kentucky and Charles Downes Jr. of Louisville, Kentucky and 4 grandchildren.

There will be no services.
