Franklin W Nicholson

Mr. Franklin W. Nicholson age 92 of Salem passed away Monday, January 28 at 11:25PM at St. Vincent Hospital in Salem.
Mr. Nicholson was born December 2, 1920 in Washington County, Indiana the son of Thomas W. and Myrtle Bottorff Nicholson. He was a retired US Army Major and also retired from Smith Cabinet Company. He was a member of First Christian Church, Salem Masonic Lodge #21, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, National Rifle Association, Rotary International and Disabled American Veterans.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Mary L. Bush Nicholson, two brothers: Clyde and Charles Nicholson, two sisters: Anita Chastain and Elizabeth Weston, a granddaughter: Nora Nicholson and his parents. He is survived by a son: Larry Nicholson of Chapel HIll, North Carolina, a daughter: Linda Jackson of Scottsburg, a sister: Gladys Roberts of Salem, 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandsons.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00AM at Salem First Christian Church. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8PM at Weathers Funeral Home with masonic services at 7:30PM. Visitation will also be Friday from 9AM-time of service at the church.
