Mr. Fred Robert Sparks age 63 of Orleans passed away Sunday, February 3 at 5:15AM at IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington.
Mr. Sparks was born March 31, 1949 in Harrodsburg, Indiana the son of Fred and Marcia Sills Sparks. He was a former truck driver and a Vietnam War Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife: Cindy Stivers Sparks. They were married October 3, 1993. He is also survived by two sons: John Jackson and Kevin Sparks of Orleans, and four daughters: Julie Sparks of Ellettsville, Jamie Shipley of Bloomington, Stacey Jackson of Jeffersonville, and Amy Giddens of Lakeview, Ohio, two brothers: Jim and Homer Sparks both of Bloomington, two sisters: Velda Fisher of Bloomington and Vivian Hoyme of Maryland, 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a sister: Edith Eads and his parents.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10AM-time of service.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
