Mr. Gene M. Brewer age 86 of Salem passed away Sunday, July 7 at 7:33PM at Salem Crossing.
Mr. Brewer was born December 27, 1926 in Washington County, Indiana the son of John and Goldie L. Taylor Brewer. He was retired co-owner of Eddie Gilstrap Motors. He was a member of Canton Christian Church, New Providence Masonic Lodge #237 and was a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife: Mary Lou Fancher Brewer. They were married September 29, 2000. He is also survived by 4 nieces, 2 nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife: Lois E. Brewer, a brother: Charles D. Brewer, two sisters: Ruby Doyle and Inez Dybdall and his parents.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-8PM and Thursday from 9AM-time of service.
