Cheyenne

Heidi LaVonne Chastain, 41, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away on April 16, 2026. Born on December 29, 1984, in Denver, Colorado, Heidi was a bright and loving soul with an unmistakable desire to be right in the middle of whatever fun was happening. Heidi grew up surrounded by a large and loving family, and that sense of togetherness shaped who she was at her core. She was family-oriented through and through, always cherishing time spent with the people she loved most. Whether it was a holiday gathering, a birthday party, or just an ordinary evening together, Heidi wanted to be there, and everyone was better for it.

Heidi was also a proud competitor in the Special Olympics, an experience that showcased not only her determination but also her joyful, spirited nature. She attended Vincennes University in Indiana and was part of the Action Club and many bowling leagues. Heidi made her home at Magic City and Treasure Abilities in Cheyenne, Wyoming, where she lived alongside her friends and staff and a close-knit community that meant the world to her. She loved social events, game nights, and any opportunity to get together with the people around her. If there was a card game being dealt, a bowling lane open, or a table at a restaurant waiting to be filled, Heidi was ready to go.

Heidi was a member of Mount Tabor Christian Church in Salem, Indiana, and her faith was a meaningful part of her life. She also attended and cherished Destiny Church and Beacon Hill Church in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She now rests peacefully in the arms of her Lord, reunited with her beloved sister, Stephanie Chastain, and her grandparents, Bill Graham, Lyman Chastain and Robert and Rose Jonas who preceded her in death.

Heidi is survived by her father, Tim Chastain (Leann) of Campbellsburg, Indiana, her mother, Michele Lamb Riedesel (Mike Allen) of Evanston, Wyoming, her brother Josh Chastain (Jennifer) of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Zachery Riedesel of Louisville, Kentucky, Gage Riedesel of Wilmington, North Carolina, sisters, Misti Miller (Raja) of Prospect, Kentucky, Amanda Dees (Aron) of Crestwood, Kentucky, Emily Wroblewski (Travis) of Laramie, Wyoming, Kadee Thompson (Austen) of Eminence, Kentucky. She is also survived by her grandparents, Carole Graham of Mitchell, Indiana, Esther Chastain of Salem, Indiana and Harold Lamb of Calico Rock, Arkansas.

Heidi had 18 nieces and nephews, who she was close to and would be one of the first people to call them on their birthday. She is also survived by the many friends and community members at Magic City and Treasure Abiliities who loved her dearly.
