Helen L. (Felker) Nelson

Mrs. Helen L. Nelson, age 91, of Salem, passed away, Sunday, November 19 at Salem Crossing.

Mrs. Nelson was born April 2, 1932 in Mifflin, Indiana the daughter of LeRoy Felker and Crystal Newton Felker. She was a member of New Salem First Church of God. She was a retired Dental Assistant. Helen was a 1950 Salem High School graduate.

On July 16, 1950 Helen married Ward E. Nelson, who preceded her in death on November 13, 2021. She is also preceded in death by two sisters: Doris J. Mahuron and Sandra K. Huff, and her parents.

Helen is survived by three sons: Mark Nelson (Melody) of Salem, Reed Nelson (Shelly) of Noblesville, Indiana, and Paul Nelson (A. Charlene) of Salem, a brother: John P. Felker, 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 12PM at New Salem First Church of God. A private burial will follow at Beech Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 10AM-until time of service at the church.
