Our Precious Husband and Dad, Ivan Brewer, Jr., went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 4, 2026, after a long battle with dementia.

Ivan was born in Salem on June 29, 1944, to Ivan Brewer Sr. and Mildred Wringler Brewer. He loved his hometown dearly and loved growing up there. He married Sheila Cornwell Brewer on March 20, 1964, at Livonia Presbyterian Church.

Survived to cherish Ivan's memory is his wife of 62 years, Sheila Brewer; two sons, Brent Brewer and Troy Brewer (Marci); five grandchildren, Nick, Miranda, Jackson, Calvin, and Caleb. Ivan was preceded in death by his parents and our son, Ryan Scott Brewer.

Ivan was a devoted Christian. Throughout his journey, he faithfully served as an Elder, Decon and Sunday School Teacher. Ivan worked at RCA/Thompson Consumer Electronics in Bloomington, IN, for 40 years before retiring in 2006. He was an avid cyclist. He especially enjoyed cycling with his brothers-in-law, Mark Cornwell and Alan Hawkins. On his birthday, he rode his number of years in miles; his last ride was 75 miles in one day.

A celebration of life for Ivan will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 2:30 P.M. at the Livonia Presbyterian Church.
