Jake D Smith

Mr. Jake D. Smith age 81 of Salem, passed away Tuesday, July 30 at Meadowview Health and Rehabilitation Center in Salem.

Mr. Smith was born June 11, 1938 in Winchester, Kentucky the son of Carl Bronson Smith and Virginia Sophia Van Meter Smith. He was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, and the Upper Sandusky Sportsman Club.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Joyce Ann Toland Smith, a son: Adam Dewey Smith, three brothers: Donald Smith, Winfred Smith, and Conrad Smith, two sisters: Elanor Weaver and Gloria “Susie” Mowbry, and his parents.

He is survived by a son: John Theadore Smith of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, three daughters: Janay Lynn Francis and Joy Lynn Love both of Salem, and Jill Marie Ivy of Riverside, California, and ten grandchildren.

Cremation was chosen a memorial service will be held at a later date.
