James A. McPeak

Mr. James A. McPeak, age 58, of Salem, passed away Tuesday, October 3 at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany.

Mr. McPeak was born June 17, 1965, in Franklin, Indiana, the son of Kenneth McPeak and Peggy Roberts Glass.  He was a tow boat pilot for ACBL for 28 years and had previously been a truck driver.   Jim enjoyed taking his antique trucks to car shows, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren.

James is survived by his wife:  Lori Persinger McPeak of Salem, a son:  Jeremy McPeak (Michelle) of Franklin, Indiana, and two daughters:  Amethyst Hoskison (Josh) of Cooper, Texas and Lindsey McPeak Lightner (Jordan) of New Palestine, Indiana, a sister:  Melissa McPeak Grider (Billy) of Brownsville, Kentucky and 7 grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother:  Joey McPeak.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 7, at 3:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Cremation will follow.  Visitation will be Saturday from Noon-time of service.
