James P. Moore

Mr. James P. Moore, age 74, of Salem, passed away Tuesday, March 9 at BeeHive Homes of Scottsburg.

Mr. Moore was born March 3, 1947 in Salem, Indiana the son of Carroll C. and Catherine L. Moore. He was an Army National Guard Veteran. A Washington County Councilman at Large for many years. A volunteer fireman for the Salem Fire Department, and a Reserve Deputy for the Washington County Sheriffs Department.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Bonnie Moore on October 15, 2019, his daughter: Amanda N. Hollowell on May 19, 2014, and his parents.

He is survived by two brothers: Gary Moore and Greg Moore both of Salem, a grandson: Carter Hollowell of Salem, son-in-law: Travis Hollowell of Salem, and a nephew: Cody Moore.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10AM-until time of service at the funeral home.
