James L Ramsay

Mr. James L. Ramsay, age 89, of Pekin, passed away Sunday, October 6 at his home.

Mr. Ramsay was born March 10, 1930 in Bartlettsville, Lawrence County, Indiana, the son of Earl Ross Ramsay and Eva Lena Kinser Chastain.  He was a retired employee of B.F. Goodrich and Washington County Highway Department.  He was a member of Bunker Hill Christian Church.

James was preceded in death by his wife:  Louise Floyd Ramsay, a brother:  Harry Ramsay, three sisters:  Mable Axsom, Hazel Norman, and Jo Southern and his parents.

He is survived by a son:  Gary Ramsay (Angie) of Pekin, three daughters:  Gloria Gray (Tommy) of Pekin, Cathy Spaulding (Keith) of Pekin and Cherie Baker of Pekin, 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery.  Visitation will Wednesday from 4-8PM and Thursday from 9AM-time of service.
