James M. Whittle

James M. Whittle, age 77 of Salem, passed away on Monday, December 18 at St. Vincent Salem Hospital.

Mr. Whittle was born August 27, 1946, in Fayetteville Arkansas, the son of Milo and Bonnie Galloway Whittle.  He was a member of the Highland Baptist Church, a member of the Salem Masonic Lodge and was a Vietnam Army Veteran.

Mr. Whittle is survived by his wife, Alicia Edmondson Whittle, a son: Philip Purlee of Salem, his two daughters: Kim Sewell (Terry) of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, Jessica Edmondson Adamson (Christopher) of Salem, his grandchildren: Zach Whittle, Dakota Harkness, Johnathon Humphrey, Mariah Humphrey, Kylee Purlee, and his great grandchildren: Liam Whittle, Saylor Whittle, Stella Harkness, Miley Harkness and Owen Harkness.

Mr. Whittle is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Sue Sizemore and his great granddaughter Ashlyn Humphrey.

Services will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Weathers Funeral Home at 5:00P.M. Visitation will be from 2:00P.M. until time of service.
