James H. “Ted” Hudman, age 65, of Pekin passed away Monday, December 14 at Baptist Health Floyd.
James “Ted” was born December 9, 1955 in Shepherdsville, Kentucky the son of the late Lowell Hudman and Laurine (Grady) Burden.
On March 25, 1977, he married Cindy Shoults. They have one daughter: Samantha Elliott, and one son James (Devin) Hudman, both of Pekin. He has two grandsons: Chase and James “Connor” Elliott. Ted was a resident of Washington County. He was a retired maintenance man and a Navy veteran. He had a love of motorcycles and how they worked. He was a staple in the Pekin/Salem community and even in the Louisville area for people to bring their motorcycles, ATV’s, or anything else with an engine to be worked on. He was very passionate about all of them.
Ted has three brothers: Doug (Jackie) Hudman of Indianapolis, Billy (Violet) Erskine of Lebanon Junction, Kentucky, and Joe Burden of Salem.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Christian Cemetery, Campbellsburg. Visitation will be Friday from 11AM-time of service Friday.
