Janet Sue Fleenor Burton

Janet Sue Fleenor Burton age 79 of Salem passed away Wednesday, February 28 at Baptist Health Floyd.

Janet was born January 3, 1939 in Salem the daughter of Cotha White.  She was retired from Washington County Memorial Hospital, OB Department after 25 years. She was a member of Marshall Avenue Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband:  Earl Fleenor in 1987.  She then married Russell Burton and he preceded her in death in 2003.  She was also preceded in death by a son:  Edward Earl Fleenor in 1973, a daughter:  Maria Ann Stout in 2007, and her mother.

She is survived by two sons:  Orville Lee Fleenor and Michael Scott Fleenor both of Salem, two daughters:  Carolyn Sue Bowman of Atlanta, Georgia and Julie Rebecca Flamion of Salem, 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a special cousin:  Kenny White of Louisville, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Winslow Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday from 4-8PM and Saturday from 9AM-time of service.
