Mrs. Janet K. Hoke, age 81, of Salem, passed away Saturday, November 26 at her home.
Mrs. Hoke was born June 11, 1941 in Salem the daughter of Claude and Evelyn Fisher Huckleberry. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Avid Master Gardener, and Beta Sigma Phi. She was retired from Kimball in Salem.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years: Vincent Hoke, a son: Jamie Verble of Salem, a daughter: Julie Windell of Salem, seven grandchildren: Ryan, Brandon, Kara (James), Brien, Cameron, Shawn, and Ashley, and five great-grandchildren: Riley, Kohen, Carter, Lilly, and Kody.
Janet is preceded in death by a son: Joe Verble, a brother: Bill Huckleberry, three sisters: Shirley Baker, Dorothy Lyles, and Imogene Huckleberry, and her parents.
A graveside service will be held at 11AM Wednesday, December 7 at Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5-8PM and Wednesday from 10AM-until time of graveside service at the funeral home.
