Janet Burns Markland age 78 of Salem passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017.
She was born March 18, 1939 to Ray and Elizabeth Melton Burns, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter: Jamie Leigh Markland Miller of Indianapolis, and sister: Alene Roth of Nashville, Tennessee.
A native of Salem, Janet retired from NBD personal banking. Janet loved her daughter, visiting with friends, family and sunshine. She will be missed.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 10 at 10:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, June 9 from 4-7PM at the funeral home.
