Mr. Jesse J. Deboard age 80 of Salem passed away Friday, March 22 at Meadow View Health Care.
Mr. Deboard was born October 16, 1932 in Big Stone Gap, Virginia the son of Samuel Lester and Ollie Jane Coomer Deboard. He retired after 32 years as bartender for Ratts and Son Tavern. He was a Korean War Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Fannie Bell Neeley Deboard, 4 brothers, 5 sisters and his parents. He is survived by two sons: Scott Deboard (Janet) of Louisiana and Jesse J. "Jim" Deboard Jr. (Mona) of Pekin, two daughters: Teresa Chastain (Ed) and Barb Bennett (R.H.) both of Salem, 4 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be Sunday from 4-8PM and Monday from 9AM-time of service.
