Mr. Jesse D. Enochs Jr. age 87 of Salem passed away Wednesday, April 1 at St. Vincent Hospital of Salem.
Mr. Enochs was born December 29, 1927 in Mitchell, Indiana the son of Jesse Enochs Sr. and Elsie Rutherford Enochs. He was a retired employee of Rudder Tire Service. He was a World War II and Korean War Marine veteran and a member of American Legion.
Jesse was preceded in death by his wife: Elizabeth Marie Wingler Enochs in 2011, 1 brother, 2 sisters, 1 half sister and his parents. He is survived by two sons: James Enochs of Salem and David Enochs of Charlestown, two daughters: Deanna Winslow of Salem and Lisa Ruckman of Pekin, 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8PM and Saturday from 9AM-time of service.
