John William Kinley

John William Kinley, age 82 of Jeffersonville, passed away August 9, 2023 at Wedgewood Nursing Home.

John was born November 25, 1940 in Louisville Kentucky the son of William Kinley and Dorothy Moore Kinley. He was a member of Cook Memorial United Methodist Church in Jeffersonville. He retired from Local 181 Heavy Equipment Operators Union. John was a man of many talents.

John is survived by his wife Reta Mae Arnold Kinley they were married May 29, 1981. He is also survived by three sons: John Lee Kinley (Cheryl) of Henryville, David Wayne Kinley (Karen) of Henryville and Keith Lynn Kinley (Amy) of New Salisbury, a stepson Jay Osborn of Clearwater Florida, a brother, William Kinley (Betty) of Louisville, 10 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

John is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Jimmy Kinley and Tex Kinley, and two sisters: Evelyn Avery and Debbie Kinley

Funeral services will be held at 11:00a.m Monday, August 14 at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery Fredericksburg. Visitation will be held on Sunday August 13 from 2:00-6:00 P.M, and Monday from 9:00a.m- until the time of service.
