Mr. Jon G. "Sonny" Gilstrap age 76 of Salem passed away Wednesday, November 28 at 12:59PM at St. Vincent Hospital.
Mr. Gilstrap was born January 1, 1936 in Salem the son of Gilbert and Thelma Roberts Gilstrap. He was a retired employee of Williams Construction and a self employed plumber.
He is survived by his wife: Bonnie Click Gilstrap. They were married June 30, 1956. He is also survived by his son: Jon G. Gilstrap of Salem, a sister: Anna Katherine Neideffer of Salem, three grandchildren: Correna, Logan and Emily Gilstrap and a great-grandchild: Henry Keller. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister: Jane Griffen and a grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Fredericksburg. Visitation will be Saturday from 3-8PM and Sunday from 9AM-time of service.
