Jonell (Prather) Denny

Mrs. Jonell Prather Denny, age 66, of Salem, passed away Wednesday, December 6 at Baptist Health Floyd.

Mrs. Denny was born March 3, 1957, in Salem, Indiana the daughter of John David (JD) Prather and Betty Curtsinger Prather Fultz. She was a retired employee of Salem Schools and was a pre-school teacher for 16 years.  She was a member of Southern Hills Church.

Jonell is survived by her husband:  David Denny.  They were married August 4, 1979.  She is also survived by a son:  Tyler Denny of New Albany, a brother:  Jim Prather of Indianapolis, a sister:  Jennifer Martin of Florida, a nephew:  Logan Prather (Robyn) of Muncie, and a first cousin:  Greg Hahn (Sandy) of Scottsburg.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter:  Mary Jo Denny.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 9 at 1PM at Southern Hills Church with Kathy Dye and Steve Corp officiating. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Saturday before the service from 9AM-1PM at Southern Hills Church.

Memorial donations may be made to Washington County Community Foundation, Salem Public Library Fund.
