Judith C Owsley

Mrs. Judith C. Owsley, age 87, of Campbellsburg, passed away Monday, June 10 at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany. 

Mrs. Owsley was born December 25, 1936, in Utica, Indiana, the daughter of Everett and Thelma Holman Prather.  She was a homemaker and a member of Sugar Creek Christian Church in Campbellsburg. 

Judy married Philip A. Owsley on June 23, 1957, and he preceded her in death on July 17, 2008.  She was also preceded in death by two sisters:  Irene Prather and Virginia Hattabaugh and her parents.  

She is survived by two children:  Daniel W. Owsley (Kris) of Salem and Susan C. Ballerstedt (Bill) of Louisville, Kentucky, two brothers:  Charles “Bud” Prather (Barbara) of New Albany and Duane Prather (Valarie) of Casper, Wyoming, three sisters:  Katherine McKinley of New Albany, Esther Strizak of New Albany and Dorothy Snyder (Jay) of New Albany, and 8 grandchildren:  Elizabeth (Paddington), James (Beka), Thomas, Rachel, Carol, Bekah (Stephen), Julia, and Sarah. 

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2PM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Saturday from 2-6PM and Sunday from 1PM-time of service at the funeral home.
