Julia V (Courtney) Thomas

Mrs. Julia V. Thomas, age 62, of Salem, passed away Friday, January 28 at her home.

Julia was born June 5, 1959, in Louisville, Kentucky the daughter of Howard E. Courtney and Daisy Brooks.  She was a member of Full Gospel Outreach.

She was preceded in death by her husband:  Nathan Thomas, four brothers:  Al Brooks, Howard Courtney, Douglas Courtney, and Thomas Courtney and her parents.

She is survived by her children:  Chris Martin (Stephanie) of Greenville, and Joni Muchler (Richard) of Salem, two sisters:  Joy Hattabaugh and Marlene McDonald both of Salem, four grandchildren:  Andrew Muchler (Kassidy), Ally Muchler, Maci Muchler, and Miles Martin, and one grandson on the way:  Max Martin and one great-granddaughter on the way:  Oaklynn Ellen Muchler.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, February 5 from 12-4PM at Salem Community Church.  In the event of bad weather, we will postpone to the following week.
