Mr. Julius L. Blankenbaker age 83 of Pekin passed away Saturday, June 2 at Floyd Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Blankenbaker was born September 26, 1928 in Pekin, Indiana the son of Wilbur and Angie Martin Blankenbaker. He was a retired employee of Vulcan-Hart Corporation in Louisville. He was a member and deacon of Pekin Church of Christ. He was a former National Guard member.
He is survived by his wife: Lavona Hooker Blankenbaker. They were married August 30, 1952. He is also survived by two daughters: Lisa Lyles (Mark) of Salem and Janet Irene Farnsley (Tommy) of Pekin, a granddaughter: Angie Rose (Scott) and 2 grandsons: Landon and Jonathan Rose. He was preceded in death by a brother: Lew Blankenbaker and his parents.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery, Pekin. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8PM and Tuesday from 8AM-time of service.
