Karen S. Lucas age 71 of Salem passed away Saturday, October 21 at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany.
Karen was born July 22, 1946 in Manchester, Kentucky the daughter of Lester and Ethel Mae Winchester Thompson. She was a member of Highland Missionary Baptist Church and a retired employee of Smith Cabinet Company.
She is survived by her husband: Johnny Horn of Salem. They were married January 6, 2001. She is also survived by four sons: Michael Lucas (Kim) of Dayton, Kentucky, Jason Lucas (Hannah) of Salem, Troy Lucas (Teresa) of Salem, and John Berry Horn of Corydon, three daughters: Missy Eggleston (Greg) of Hebron, Kentucky, Penny Nalepa of Detroit, Michigan and Debbie Newby of Salem, 19 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband: Leroy Lucas, two sisters: Virgie Davidson and Lavada Rodgers and her parents.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 3:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8PM and Thursday from 1PM-time of service.
