Mr. Kenneth E. Hoke age 91 of Salem passed away Saturday, February 9 at 8:03AM at his home.
Mr. Hoke was born April 21, 1921 in Illinois the son of Charles Murl and Loda Gail Wade Hoke. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and a member of Local 181 Operator's Union and Salem Eagles Club. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of American Legion and VFW.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Dorothy Hoke on May 13, 1970, a brother: Mervin Hoke, two sisters: Bessie Dougherty and Alberta Marie Hoke and his parents. He is survived by a son: Richard Hoke of San Antonio, Texas, three grandchildren: Teresa Mendenhall, Brian Hoke and Joshua D. Hoke, and seven great-grandchildren: Sarah, Rebecca, Justin, Jacob, Johnathan, Destiny and Audree.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Carty officiating. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8PM and Thursday from 9AM-time of service.
