Kenny R Powers

Mr. Kenny R. Powers age 60 of Salem passed away Monday, July 30 at St. Vincent Hospital in Salem.

Mr. Powers was born June 22, 1958 in Salem the son of David and Eleanor Trueblood Powers.  He was a construction worker.  He was a Coast Guard veteran and a member of Blue River Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife:  Sharon Sowder Powers, a son:  Jason Powers (Amy) of Salem, a daughter:  Sasha Powers of Lexington, Indiana, a step-son:  Joshua Cheatham (Tosha) of Borden, a step-daughter:  Jessica Green (Michael McCosky) of Pekin, four brothers:  Keith Powers of Bedford, Ronnie Powers of Fredericksburg, David Powers (Paula) of Ramsey and Donnie Powers (Robin) of Salem, a sister:  Sherri Johnson (Dave), 11 grandchildren and his caregiver and friend: Chris Green of Salem.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Winslow Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8PM and Friday from 10AM-time of service.
